The Cabin at the Gorge is intended to become the base camp of the Chautauqua Alleghany Biodiversity INventory (CABIN). This privately funded ATBI (All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory) is being modeled after Discover Life In America's ATBI currently being conducted in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. With the help and support of academic institutions, membership contributions and citizen volunteers this ambitious project will provide many years of naturalist learning experiences for students of all ages and educational levels.
